Temperatures for the period averaged 62.5 degrees across the state which was 3.2 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 76.0 in the West to 72.4 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 3.6 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 1.5 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 63.7 degrees in the West to 49.0 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 14.5 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 3.6 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 101.8 at Muhlenberg county and the extreme low was 20.3 at Harlan county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 11.65 inches statewide which was 1.23 inches above normal and 111.8% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 13.88 inches, Central 11.35 inches, Bluegrass 11.31 inches and East 10.07 inches, which was 2.78, 0.29, 1.8 and 0.05 inches above normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 5.61 inches at McCreary county to a high of 17.11 inches at Harlan county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 52.8 degrees.
