Temperatures for the period averaged 45.1 degrees across the state which was 1.8 degrees warmer than normal and 15 degrees warmer than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 60.9 in the West to 57.8 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 4.9 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 2.4 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 38.9 degrees in the West to 29.3 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 4.8 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0.9 degrees cooler than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 77.7 degrees at Knox county and the extreme low was 9.1 degrees at Harlan county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.49 inches statewide which was 1.47 inches below normal and 25.0% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 0.79 inches, Central 0.44 inches, Bluegrass 0.34 inches and East 0.41 inches, which was 1.35, 1.63, 1.41 and 1.48 inches below normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0.14 inches at Madison county to a high of 1.05 inches at Harlan county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 28.9 degrees.
